The 2023-24 Youth Competitions are now closed to new entrants. Information Packs and posters have been uploaded and will remain available in both the public and members’ area of the Rotary GB&I website – follow link below:

The competition winners are as follows:.

So we have six winners from Alnwick, three from Blyth, three from Erimus and two from Stokesley

District Winners of Young Musician and Young Chef will go to the Cluster Finals, all other competitions will now go straight to National judging.

Deadlines for Club Level competitions were similar to last year, ie 31 January 2024, with the District Finals taking place during February 2024. 

Cluster Finals of Young Musician, Young Chef and Youth Speaks will take place in March. Young Musician will be held on Sun 24 March 2024 at St John's Church, Sharow, near Ripon, and Young Chef will be in Kendal Catering College, Milnthorpe Road, Kendal on Wed  20 March 2024.

The National deadline of submission for the non face-to-face competitions is Tuesday, 30th April 2024 and the face-to-face National finals (Young Chef, Young Musician and Youth Speaks) are being held over the weekend of 20th and 21st April 2024.

The Rotary Youth Competition Guidelines (for internal Rotary use only) have been updated and are available in the Members’ Area (login required).

‘Rebuilding Lives and Rebuilding Communities’ is one of three unifying themes Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I) is using to link all the service projects Rotary clubs undertake in and with their communities, and the people in them, locally, nationally and internationally. Hence four of the 2024 competitions have the same topic - "Rebuilding".

Young Film-Maker - Rebuilding

The 2024 theme for Young Environmentalist is "Waste Minimisation"

Young Chef - a 2 course meal costing less than £18.00 (changed from last year's 3 courses)

Young Musician - programme of music lasting up to 13 minutes (increased time allowance from last year)
