This is a free community event shining the spotlight on Mental Health!

Organised by the Rotary Club of Whitby & District, the Mental Health & Wellbeing Fair provides

a wonderful opportunity for the local community to learn more about mental health and the

resources available to them in Whitby.

Mental health is a vital aspect of everyone’s life; seeking support is a sign of strength, not

weakness. It is important that people who might need help know where to get it quickly!

The fair gives all age groups a rare chance to engage face-to-face with Mental Health charities,

organisations and groups that provide support services locally. It also gives them the

opportunity to network – connection is so important!

Events like this are key to bringing people together and holding conversations about mental

health to reduce the stigma surrounding it and help improve community care.

Self-care plays a vital role in maintaining good mental health. Local service providers that

deliver activities that promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall wellbeing are also

taking part.

There will be more than twenty stalls at the event. Come along to the Rugby Club any time

between 1 and 4pm and have a chat with the experts.

The fair will be a family friendly event, it will include live music and fun activities for children,

such as face painting, crafting, and a poster competition.

Amongst those attending will be: -

• GP Surgeries and NHS staff

• Organisations specialising in support for children and young people.

• Mental Health Charities

• Leisure Clubs

• Organisations providing support for older people.

• Experts in clinical massage, nutrition, and meditation

• Groups providing classes and social opportunities for retired/semi-retired people.

And many more.
