Skipton Rotary Club is delighted to announce that the second annual ECO Day is set to take place on Saturday 27th April 2024, following the success of the 2023 event. This year’s ECO Day promises to offer even more family fun and learning.
There will be a range of charities and organisations highlighting their work for the environment and numerous exciting activities for everyone to enjoy, including a Treasure Hunt, Face Painting, Animal Encounters, Human Fruit Machine, a Recycled clothing children’s fashion show and various Crafts.
Nicky Shoesmith, President of Skipton Rotary, said of the event “We are delighted to have received so much positive feedback following last year’s Eco Day and are working to make this year’s event even better.
All the groups that showcased their Eco-related causes last year really appreciated the opportunity to meet groups with similar aims and be able to promote their cause to those attending."
Other comments included -
‘Good opportunity for networking and finding out about other groups, some I’ve never heard of.’
‘I passionately believe we need to work together as a network of organisations to get the best outcome for our environment.‘
The event aims to unite various groups dedicated to promoting eco-friendly causes and as such local charities and organisations are invited to exhibit. Sponsorship from interested organisations would be very welcome.
Make sure to mark your calendars for this fantastic event at Skipton Town Hall running from 1pm until 4pm. Do not miss the opportunity to be part of this ECO friendly celebration.
