Defibrillator Installation Progress UpdateTime to look at the success of this campaign remebering that the aim was to install another three public accessible defibrillators by the end of June 2024.
To date four defibrillators have been
installed and are now fully operational.
The locations are:
McDonalds. Westgate Street
Wetherspoons Kings Square
Air Ambulance Northgate Street
Quays Shopping Centre Car Park Entrance
A fifth is to be installed in the Docks Food Hall today
Two more to be installed in partnership
with Keir Construction

Charity Race Night
All invited to come and enjoy a night at the races in aid of our public access defibrillator campaign at Warehouse 4, West Quay, Gloucester Docks. Tickets £15 including a hog roast. Cash only at the tote.
Your complete race going experience can be booked by clicking on race night ticket request form where you can find full details on how to buy tickets, sponsor a race or become a race horse owner, and how to submit your request.

Mike d’Abo’s musical memories
What a successful evening raising about £5100. Thanks to all those who supported this event, participated in Heads and Tails and made donations to the campaign, you made the evening a success.
Particular thanks to Gloucester Rugby for their generosity in faciltating this campaign event
Mike d’Abo of Manfred Mann fame will entertain us tonight in aid of our Public Access Defibrillator Campaign. Manfred Mann was a prominent English rock group in the 1960’s. Tickets £30 to include a two-course meal. Tickets can be reserved by using the ticket application form. The application form explains the process for buying tickets

Collection in Gloucester Docks
Today, supported by Gloucestershire Police, we will be collecting in Gloucester Docks in aid of our Public Accessible Defibrillator Campaign.Thanks to Gloucester Docks for allowing us this opportunity
28 SeptemberFirst defibrillator to be installed
Thanks to a very generous donation of £2150 from Gloucester BID, today we will install our first defibrillator in Northgate St in association with air ambulance service. 2 more are planned for Kings Sq & Westgate St. Dignitaries & Representatives from our supporters; Gloucester City Safe & Gloucester BID will be on hand
Gloucester Business Improvement District (BID) operates within a defined geographical area, in which non-domestic ratepayers have voted to invest collectively in local improvements that are in addition to those that are already delivered by local statutory bodies.
Gloucester BID has been in operation since 1 July 2017

Gloucester Day Celebrations and Parade
Gloucester Day celebrating lifting the Siege of Gloucester in 1643. With partners from Gloucester City Safe and Gloucester BID, we will man a stall to raise awareness and collect for our Public Access Defibrillator Campaign. We will also take part in the Gloucester Day Parade
22 July 2023 First Fund Raising Event
This will be a collection at the Gloucester M5 Services South Bound between 9 am and 4 pm.

back Rotary@Kingsholm has discovered that Gloucester City as only 3 accessible defibrillators. This is the lowest number in the country. A new defibrillator costs about £2200. Our aim during the next 12 months is to raise enough money to double that number.

Longfield Hospice provides end of life support at home to reduce the demand on NHS beds. Recognising how It is vital that the hospice continues its work to help vulnerable people in need, we were happy to make a donation to their funds.
