A trip to Elton Hall.

Fri, Jul 14th 2023 at 9:45 am - 3:30 pm

This trip to Elton Hall house and gardens will have a conducted tour of the house and grounds followed by luncheon. Please contact club organiser Jane Forsyth to join this trip.

We meet at 10.00 am in the car park to Bosworths Garden Centre which is 5 minutes walk from Elton Hall. The postcode is PE8 6SH. The Hall itself has no car park and visitors are asked to use the Garden Centre car park.

There will be two tours one at 10.15 and one at 10.35. Everyone should be through the house by 11.45 at which time the Head Gardener will take everyone through to the Private Gardens for a tour. After this we have free time to wander through the open gardens.

We are booked in at the Garden Centre The Mulberry Cafe for lunch at 1.00. They have agreed that we can choose from their Main menu if we pre-order. Their menu can be found on Bosworth's website but make sure you are looking at The Mulberry Cafe Lunch menu. I will bring a paper copy to the 7th July Meeting. The lunch is to be paid for on the day.

We have been asked to pay in advance for the tours so please can everyone pay the club for the visit at £20.50 per person. Please make the payment between 1st and 5th July. If you make it before the 1st you will add to Tom's grey hairs as he wants to balance the accounts for handover at Treasurer on 30th June and on or before the 5th as the club has to pay 7 days in advance. Please copy me in on the email to let me know that you have paid as well as telling Richard Arnold as the new Treasurer.

As it is a fair way to Elton Hall it makes sense to 'buddy up' and go together. Can I leave you can organise lifts/car shares yourselves. l. Anyone left without a lift let me know.

Jane Forsyth
