GARDEN PARTY
The Garden Party was held at Donnington House Residential Care Home
On 9 July Donnington House Residential Care and Nursing Home celebrated its own platinum jubilee with a garden party for the residents and their families; staff and invited guests.
It was a delightful summers day. The party was held in the grounds of the Home. There were delicious cream teas; a tombola; raffle and craft stalls, together with fun games for the young at heart.
A letter of congratulations received from Princess Alexandra, who opened the Home 70 years ago, was read out and a certificate was presented to Tracy Kirtlan in recognition of her being a finalist in the West Sussex Carer of the year award.
The party was organised by the staff who were assisted by the Rotary Club of Chichester Harbour.

Such a wonderful afternoon had by residents, relatives, staff, and the friends of Donnington House. Thank you to everyone for joining us to celebrate our 70th birthday. We are all very proud of Donnington’s history and look forward to making many more memories over the coming years. (Jan Kewell Manager)
