Float Presentation Evening
The club organised a special presentation evening to give cheques and a huge thankyou to representatives of the local charitable groups that helped us to manage the 3 week long, nightly Xmas Float journey around our area.
A journey which gives pleasure to so many, especially children and one which we simply could not manage by ourselves.
In return each group receives a share of the proceeds based upon the number of nights that their members collected – a good way for local charitable groups to raise funds, in years when they are not, as so many have been in the past, recipients of money from us for their special projects, whilst maintaining as far as possible our long standing commitment to float collections being used locally.
Altogether 12 local groups participated, and shared the proceeds. Altogether £8,463 was collected , making our combined efforts so worthwhile.
