Blaize Ladies came to our Christmas Lunch, a 'bonus' was the visiting Speaker - Sir David Wootton (former Lord Mayor of London). Visitors Host, Grace & Banners Barrie Birch, Cash Desk & Sergeant at Arms Derek O'Hearne
Sir David Wootton a member and currently the Master of The Worshipful Company of Woolmen and is a former Lord Mayor of the City of London (2011-12).
David was born in Bradford and attended Bradford Grammar School (where he is currently a governor) and then to Jesus College, Cambridge. Until his retirement he was a lawyer advising on corporate
finance transactions.
His interests include opera, ballet
and rowing. He is married to Liz and they have four children and seven
grandchildren.
President John Waterhouse also inducted a new Member - Ken Senior - who was very warmly welcomed to the Club.
