On Thursday 27th September 2018 President Anne Sampson welcomed 55 people including 17 Club Rotarians, Rotarians from other clubs, family and friends to this evening meeting which was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes.
On reception, this week were Ron Page and Ewen Macdonald.
The evening was our annual Desert islands discs with Four Castaways selecting their music, book and selecting their treasured item and telling us why they have chosen them all, What a great night for our third Desert island Discs evening with Rotarian Malcolm Robertson in great form as he compered the evening and to President Anne Sampson for pulling the evening together Great to see Rotarian's representing their clubs from Buckhaven and Methil. Leven, Kirkcaldy, Howe of Fife, Burntisland and Kinghorn and Kinross Rotary clubs coming along to support us as well as all the other guests, A great variety of music and interesting luxury items and choice of books from all the castaways, Jim Houston past District Governor and Rotarian from the Leven Club, Sean Bolton President of Kinross, Sharon Munro President Elect of Kirkcaldy and our very own Bill Wooton. Thanks to Tracy Thomson and Wilna Roger who organised and ran the raffle with all the proceeds going towards Alzheimer's Scotland, in view of the winner returning his prize money £250 would go towards the charity for which Rotarian Iain Oates would be running in the 10k Glasgow run on Sunday 30th September 2018.

This coming week’s meeting on Thursday 4th October 2018 will revert to a lunch time meeting to be held at the Gilvenbank Hotel. please meet 12.45pm for starting at 12.55pm on reception, will be Wilna Roger, Lindsay Roy and Peter May.
Our speakers this week will be our RYLA candidates from last July Calum Kilpatrick from Auchmuty High School and Kerrie Walker from Glenwood High School giving us feedback on their RYLA camp experiences.
