Open Day Event at Fleming Court Care Home

Sat, Mar 24th 2018 at 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

We were invited to participate in an open day at this local Care home and to be the beneficiary of a Raffle for which a number prizes have been donated by local businesses.

Fleming Court Care Home is described on its website as a luxurious care home in the heart of Jesmond, offering residential and residential dementia care. About a year ago it changed hands and became part of the HC-One group of Care Homes. It has regular Open Days – once or sometime twice a month . These are promotional events as well as being an opportunity for residents and their families to enjoy the various activities involved. Among the regular events there will be a Raffle – prizes  are donated by local firms – and residents are asked to nominate charities that should benefit from the raffle proceeds.

A number of members were present at the open day and helped to sell raffle tickets. The draw was made by President Stephen. The raffle proceeds were shared between the Rotary Cub of Newcastle upon Tyne and the Rotary Club of Gosforth. Thanks are due to all those businesses who donated prizes, including J Barbour & Sons Ltd of Jarrow, Ringtons Ltd of Newcastle, Williamson Brown of Jesmond, Jesmond Beauty Clinic, Blush Womenswear, Edo Menswear and many others.
