Council Reports

On Thursday 12th April 2018 in the absence of President Lindsay Roy, SVP Anne Sampson took the chair as she welcomed 16 Rotarians to our lunch time meeting which was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.

On reception were Peter May with Ron Page saying grace.

Eleven apologies for absence were received.

IPP Brian Johnson brought back greetings from our Rotarian Malcolm Robertson whom he had visited in Sarasota Florida.

SVP Anne Sampson reminded those present of the forthcoming Quiz night on the Thursday evening of the 26th April and the Cantamus Concert evening at St Columba’s Church on Saturday 12thMay 2018.

This week there was no speaker as the meeting was dedicated to the club’s AGM where SVP Anne Sampson advised members of the Council Office bearers and chairs with their roles and responsibilities for the new Presidential Year commencing in July 2018. Walter Fletcher now responsible for budgets gave an overview of the club’s income and expenditure and rolled out the suggested budgets including membership for next year.

The next meeting will be a lunch time meeting to be held on the 19th April 2018 at the Glenrothes Foodbank where members will be shown round and given soup and a sandwich lunch with the proceeds being given to the Foodbank along with Council Reports which were held over from last week where members will get an update from Council chairs regarding ongoing projects. Please meet 12.45pm for starting at 12.55pm. On reception will be Peter May and Iain Oates.

If you were interested in joining or supporting the community and international projects get in touch by Private message on The Rotary Club of Glenrothes Facebook page. You will be made most welcome.
