On Thursday 23rd November 2017 President Lindsay Roy welcomed 17 Club Rotarians, to this lunch time meeting which was held at the Lindores Abbey Distillery in Newburgh.
On reception this week were Brian Johnson and Peter May.
The venue for today's meeting was Lindores Abbey Distillery where 17 Rotarians had soup, sandwiches and a guided tour by Distillery manager Gary Haggart around this marvellous Distillery. Lindores Abbey’s widely recognised links to the earliest written reference to Scotch Whisky, mean that people have been travelling to this quiet corner of Fife for centuries. After a 500-year break, these whisky pilgrims will finally be able to see Single Malt distillation happening once again on this historic site. Many thanks to Gary and his staff for providing a welcoming and extremely interesting visit. Certainly, a must see for everyone interested in Scotch whisky
The Rotary Vote of thanks was given by Walter Fletcher.
