11 October 2015: Metal Detecting in Lambourn: Hungerford Rotary Club arranged for a new site in Upper Lambourne to be used by a local metal detecting club.

24 Jun 2014: President's Evening and Handover: On a perfect English summer's evening, nearly the whole club, with some past members, attended a splendid Garden Party at the home of the outgoing President Annabel King. Two new members were inducted (Fiona Poole and Barnaby Smith), and during the evening the official handover of ocfficers took place, the President's Badge being passed to James Podger. 26 Apr 2014: Burmese Evening in Croft Hall: Hungerford Croft Hall was transformed into a Burmese temple for Hungerford Rotary Club's Burmese Evening on April 26th.  Burmese dancers in amazing outfits entertained the 70 guests with spectacular dance routines including a live! puppet dance and a celebration of the Water Festival. Dr Hla Thin spoke about his work in an impoverished Burmese village giving healthcare and guidance to the villagers and their children.  Win Min King, President Annabel King's daughter in law, and Tin Tin Aye cooked a delicious authentic Burmese meal and the evening finished with guests joining the dancers in a Burmese dance! Approximately 1900 was raised, which will be donated by Rotary to support Dr Hla Thin's work in healthcare and education in the Burmese village. Follow this link for more

4 Feb 2014: Welcome to Tony Barry: Our latest new member is Tony Barry, of The Penny Bank, 31 High Street. This brings our membership to 37 - a thriving club indeed for a town of our size

22 Jan 2014: Welcome to Sandy Railton: The Rev Sandy Railton was a keen and active member of our club a few years ago - but left when she moved to Wroughton. We are delighted to welcome her back as an Honorary Member, and look forward to seeing more of her in the future.

17 Dec 2013: Donation to Mercy Ships: Rtn Barry Kempton is delighted to report that the Rotary Club of Hungerford has just donated 1,500 from our "200 Club" to Mercy Ships. A matching grant scheme currently run by Mercy Ships will double this to 3,000.

17 Dec 2013: New member inducted: At the luncheon meeting today, our latest new member, Bill Bird was inducted. Welcome Bill

22 Nov 2013: Apollo Big Band Event in Hungerford Corn Exchange. A highly successful evening! Nearly 150 people enjoyed a great evening of Big Band music, along with the interval canapes, and the licensed bar. Over 1,900 was raised for our Charity Account. 

7 Aug 2013: Sandhurst Military Academy: About 50 Rotarians, family and friends had a priveledged all-day visit to Sandhurst on the occasion of the final dress rehearsal for the summer Passing-Out parade. Follow this link for more

  7-13 Jul 2013: Hungerford Rotary Cycle Challenge: The inaugural Hungerford Rotary Cycle Challenge took place in July. Cyclists journeyed from Hungerford to Ligueil and back, enjoying the fantastic countryside of England and France, in particular, the Loire Valley.  Follow this link for more
