to this lunch time meeting which was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes.

Eight apologies for absence were received

Past President Wilna Roger conducted a brief review of recent business so as to allow more time for our visitors. She introduced Alan Kimmit who explained that some years ago he had enjoyed a placement in Malawi where he worked alongside Rev Silas and got to know many of the residents. Once Alan became established in his own parish he and Silas set up an exchange visit and last year people from Glenrothes were the first to make the trip. 2017 sees the return visit.  During their stay, the group are going to meet with staff and pupils at Glenrothes HS to discuss possibilities of setting up school links in the 2 communities.

Our members were then entertained as our guests sang a joyful song of praise for us.

At the end of the meeting members agreed to the purchase of a Shelter Box to be sent to the areas worst affected by the recent hurricane as part of the Rotary International disaster relief response.
