Vocational Chair Murray Grubb mentioned that he had received a letter from Ally one of our RYLA candidates thanking the club for the opportunity of going on the week-long camp in July.

Our speaker this week was Christine Cook a Librarian for 23 years and now Service Development Officer (adults) for Fife Cultural Trust from Fife Council Speaking about Libraries and their services advising that the libraries were more than just about books, it has become abundantly clear just how pivotal to some people's existence libraries are. For the lonely in society, the library is somewhere they can go and sit and just be amongst people.

Internet access is a highly valued service too. A lot of (mostly young) people use the computers to look for jobs. It's a complete myth to assume that all people, including youngsters, have smart phones and internet access, they don't.
