Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
Club Speaker Tony Noble - Artist July 18th 2017/18 |
Tony visited the club and gave a talk about his life as a local artist.
Tony lives in Batley and has a studio in Redbrook Mills Batley Carr. Having worked as a teacher he is now a full time artist. Tony talked about his painting of the urban landscaping around Batley Dewsbury Batley Carr Foxes and Lady Ann Mills. He displayed his scenes in both oil and water colour although he prefered painting in oil. He described how to paint, examples in ice and snow in oil and water colour. President Helen replied that his talk was like going down memory lane his pictues reviving memories around Batley. Tony has displayed in the Royal Academy summer exibition in 2015 and in the John Moores Painting Prize Exibition, the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool 2014. Tony took questions from Luddies Helen and Paul thanked Tony for his visit. |
