On Thursday 27th October 2016 President Brian Johnson welcomed 48 Rotarians and guests of Rotarians to this evening meeting held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.
On reception, this week was Anne Sampson and Wilna Roger.
Our speaker this week was Archie Lawrie talking about his trip with his Psychic Medium friend Frances to the area 12 miles south of Inverness where Renee Macrae and her son disappeared 40 years ago. Her Disappearance and Murder on 12th November 1976 is still Britain’s longest Missing Persons case. Archie painted a very vivid picture of the goings on and those characters who were part of Renee’s life at that time and the area supported by some photographs and a map of the area showing the lay by where Renee MacRae’s burnt out car had been and the roads and quarries surrounding the area.
The Rotary vote of thanks was given by President Brian.
Our speaker this week Thursday 3rd November will be Graham Meacher talking about "Expensive Stamps" and will revert to a lunch time meeting at the Gilvenbank Hotel meet at 12.45pm for 12.55pm.
On reception, this week 3rd November 2016 will be Archie Lawrie and Peter May.
Last week the Club completed their third of three matches in the Gavel Competition beating The Rotary Club of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay 10-6 in a great night of fellowship and fun.
Friends of Rotary is being promoted for those who would like to be involved in assisting in the community and internationally but have limited time and possibly can only commit on a part time basis.
