The Rotary Club of Abergavenny were delighted to present a winner of the first Sports Foundation Award for 2015/16

Club - Abergavenny Tennis Club represented by Trevor Scott - Chairman

This long established Club based in Pen-y-Pound will use their award to organise “Family fun and get fit with Tennis” sessions during the Summer holidays. Each session will be open to families in the Abergavennycommunity and would run for an hour and half. The Club's objective will be to encourage families to come along and join in with tennis and fitness related activities together. Family dynamics could include any mix of mother /daughter / father /son /grandmother /grandfather - spanning all 3 generations or more!

Given the success of this sponsorship programme, the Sports Foundation Award will be announced again in 2016 to seek further applications for support from local sports clubs, associations and individuals.
