Rotary Youth Activities offer a platform for talents to shine

Competitions:

From local and regional heats through to national levels, these competitions are a great way to be challenged in a fun and friendly environment, plus there are prizes up for grabs too. (Most competitions are split into appropriate age bands to allow participants to compete against those of a similar age, in most instances, up to 17 years of age.)

All of these competitions have the full support of Rotary in your area and the District Youth Service Team will support you through your progression in the various stages. If you want to take part, please fill out our enquiry form and we will point you in the right direction. 

The Team are looking for volunteers to organise Young Artist, Young Environmentalist and give information on Rotakids this year, as well as a volunteer to work alongside the Young Photographer organiser this year to take over next year. With some interest in the topic these jobs are not onorous.


Apart from the Competitions, Rotary offers the following Programmes for Young People:


Rotary Awards for Young Citizens

  • Young Citizen - these awards recognise young people under the age of 25 who have demonstrated their commitment to citizenship, goodwill and understanding through various activities.
  • Young Citizen Environmentalist -  this is a new award reflecting Rotary's newest area of focus - Environment.   We recognise young people under the age of 25, ad individual or group who are passionate about protecting the environment.
  • Young Citizen Peacemaker Award - for the second year Rotary is delighted to offer this award to young people under the age of 25 who have made a significant ontribution by building peace and understanding - whether in school, community or with an international project
  • Young Citizen Sporting Hero - to recognise and highlight achieements and contribution as a positive role model to others - as a sports paticipant or group or an individual or grop enabling others to participate in sport.
