Garden Extravaganza 

Will be held in Bakewell at Tannery House. 

Tickets can be opurchase at £10 from Kathryn Heath Optometrists, Bath Gardens or any Rotarian. An auction of promises will be held. See below

LOT 1. A Day’s Gardening Service

Got borders and beds in need of some TLC? Need to jet wash      paving? Want your spring bulbs planting? Been putting off that weeding job? Then call in the ‘A’ (Adamson husband and wife) Team. The day (12 man hours in total) could be split according to           requirements and between different people so why not make a      combined bid with a friend? Light and heavy work (within reason) can be undertaken and waste material taken away at the end.

LOT 2. One for the technophobes

Two hours of expert tuition/advice in your own home (not Apple Mac). Possible topics include internet usage, e-mail usage, how to protect your computer from viruses and spyware, use of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. The session can be         tailored to your own requirements.

LOT 3. Textile Brooch Workshop

An afternoon workshop for two when you can let your creativity run riot , learning to make a range of embroidered , needle felted and crocheted brooches, with tea and cake to keep you going.

LOT 4. Hidden Haddon

A rare opportunity to take a guided walk for two around the         picturesque Haddon Estate, visiting parts of the estate not           normally open to the public. Learn about the recent history of  Haddon from an experienced guide.

LOT 5. Conversational French

A full days workshop for up to four people including a French     buffet lunch. Brush up on rusty  French skills; improve your holiday or conversational French. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a French speaker who just needs more practise  our delightful                professional  French tutor will tailor her tuition to your needs.

LOT 7. Lunch at Sudbury Prison

A group of 4 to be picked and taken to Sudbury Prison for lunch. Return trip optional! If returning, the group will be taken to an Ashbourne Garden Centre for tea and cakes before returning home.

LOT 8. Taxi!

Expertly driven taxi service within a 70 mile radius from Bakewell. Be taken to your destination and collected (reasonable hours of course). Why not start your holiday in style?

LOT 9.   Day at the Races

A superb day out for two. Be chauffeur driven to a local racecourse, with admission paid and lunch included. Who knows, if it’s your lucky day, you may even come away with a profit!

LOT 10. Drum Lessons

Ever fancied drumming along to your favourite tracks? Well now’s your chance to put your co-ordination skills to the test with our   talented and charming music teacher. Two 1 hour lessons of expert tuition with all equipment provided.

LOT 11. Dinner party for up to 7 people

A four course meal using fresh seasonal produce, with wine to   compliment the cuisine,  for 6 or 7 people,  Good food, good company and pleasant surroundings; who could ask for more.

Lot 12.  Get Hitched 

Whether it’s just a simple half hitch, bowline, sheepshank or  more complex knots such as a Turk’s head, monkey’s fist or even a      pineapple knot;  our expert ( a world authority on cables and how to secure them) will give you a 2hour workshop on tying knots of your choice.

LOT 13. Mystery Tour

A mystery tour for four people within the Derbyshire Dales , including afternoon tea.
