Tuesday 30th June saw the end of the Rotary Year 2014/15 and consequently the Valedictory Address by President Mike Clutton He had been a previous President of the club and a Past District Governor of Rotary District 1180.
Mike was serving on a District committee when he accepted the challenge of re visiting the Presidency. He thought his biggest task, one that is a problem for all service organisations, was to increase and retain membership. Approached in 2 ways, the historical method produced encouraging results and the new departure of creating a satellite club is still on going
The annual activities were once again very successful particularly the visit of the Chernobl children.
Two defibrillators were installed at business locations in Mostyn Street and some P.R. progress was made in conjunction with the local press.
Rotary the premier service organisations in the world, must, particularly the grass root members, be forward looking and not wish for yesterday.
