Paul harris Fellow

At the President's Night in Jedburgh Bowling Club on 9 November 2014, two Club members were honoured by being given the Paul Harris Award for outstanding Rotary service. This award commemorates the founder of Rotary, Paul Harris and is never given lightly. The awards went to Eddie Muir, for long and loyal service to the ideals of Rotary (Service Above Self) and for his outstanding service to the Jedburgh Club and the people of the town. Not only has Eddie been President twice but he has chaired various committees, including International and Foundation and has given tremendous assistance to the EBay initiative as well as organising various events such as the annual coffee morning.
The other recipient was Mike BRYDEN who has been a stalwart of the Club for many years and regularly produces all the Club literature including the weekly bulletins. Mike is the prime mover behind the EBay initiative which generates the bulk of the Club's charity funds. His successful liaison with Starretts of Jedburgh has resulted in a fruitful partnership which benefits all our charitable work.
