On Thursday 11th July , we were privileged to welcome newly appointed District Governor Kate Keter who was making the first club visit of her term in office. The District Governor described her 'Rotary Moment', which had brought home to her the significance of Rotary in changing someone's life for the better. She invited members to share experiences of how their contribution had made a difference in the local community or internationally. Coincidentally, President Iain Fairbairn read a letter from a young woman who had raised money for Maggie's at the recent Rotary Forth Bridge Abseil. She thanked the club for helping her go some way to repaying the assistance she had received and was continuing to receive from Maggie's. District Governor Kate congratulated the club on its impressive record and wished it well in the new Rotary year.
