STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR HEALTH & SAFETY

The Council of RCCB has the responsibility for the establishment of the Club's Health &Safety Policy and for its annual review, and also for keeping all members informed about health and safety issues. Reference will be made to information and guidance from Rotary GB&I and District 1105.

The Council will discuss health and safety as a standard agenda item at its regular meetings and will thereby monitor implementation of the policy and determine appropriate action for any issues arising.

The Council will appoint a Health and Safety Advisor (currently Rtn. Stephen Best), who will take a leading role in ensuring the proper implemention of health and safety procedures, and will report to all Council meetings.

Health and safety responsibility for specific events organised by RCCB, or in which RCCB is participating, will be allocated to a nominated Club member involved as part of the planning process for the event.  This person will be responsible for implementing the health and safety procedures relative to the event, assisted by the Health and Safety Advisor.
