Dementia Action Week 18th - 24th May 2026
Dementia Action Week is an awareness campaign led by Alzheimer’s Society, bringing people and organisations together to act on dementia.
This year, we're encouraging everyone to join the Forget Me Not Appeal.
Behind each Forget Me Not badge, there are stories of lives devastated by dementia and when we all wear the badge together, it becomes a movement of hope, action and unity.
A visible reminder that it will take a society to beat dementia.
To promote awareness of this campaign, Rhondda Rotary have funded the production of Forget-Me-Not Flowers for display throughout the Rhondda Valley.
The flowers have been produced by the Friends of the Workers Gallery, Ynyshir and assembled by volunteers including pupils from Ynyshir Primary School.
Various groups throughout the Rhondda helped in their areas to fix the flowers to lamp posts and fences etc
Rhondda Rotary would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in making this campaign successful.
