MOONRAKER  October 19TH 2019

Moonraker” is a well-established night-time orienteering event which will give you an opportunity to take part in an activity which would also enable you to raise money for charity or sponsored activities. You need to be part of a team of four and you will challenge yourselves over a 10 mile, figure-of-eight walking course in the dark, in the Chiltern Hills. In so doing you will develop map reading skills, work as a team, develop self-confidence and leadership. An additional level of challenge is provided by answering questions from clues set along the route. Langley and Iver Rotary Club have run this event for 40 years and as you may expect we take the issue of safety very seriously. This activity may fit well with those interested in outdoor pursuits. It is unrelated to the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme training, but may be considered to share some of its characteristics.
