The primary school at
Chilton Foliat invited members of the Hungerford Rotary Club council along to
see the school in action and to see if there was any support that the school
needed and that Rotary could supply. They were very impressed with the enthusiasm
of both the children and the staff and offered to pay for a much needed
listening centre to help improve how the school conduct the musical and
speaking parts of their assemblies, performing arts evenings, nativities and
productions by updating the audio equipment in the school hall. At the cheque
presentation the school's executive committee were joined by Myles Young of
Hungerford Rotary club and Denise Weston, the Primary School's Head Teacher, for
some impromptu Christmas carols.
