The Bruce Boat Outings

A week of trips on the Bruce Barge

Hungerford Rotary Club took to the water this week to arrange 7 day trips for various senior groups in the area. Their route took them from Great Bedwyn to Woolhampton and return over a 7 day period with most of the club's members acting as crew and hosts for the trip. The guests included Lambourn Silver Circle,  Brendon Care, Diamond Care, Westwood House, The Tuesday Club and Hungerford Day Centre. They were all very enthusiastic about their trips in the Bruce boat which is specially kitted out to cope for guests with disabilities. The Rotarian skippers, Robin Dudney, Myles Young and Captain Graeme Sleeman all reported that their groups thoroughly enjoyed the day on the Kennet and Avon Canal and are looking forward to another trip next year.
