New President for Hungerford Rotary Club.
Every July Hungerford Rotary Club names a member of the club for the Presidential role for the coming year. This year the position goes to Llyn Robins who takes over from Bruce Mayhew after his very successful year as President.
Llyn is looking forward to a busy year and his various committees are planning events which he hopes will give the members of the club a rewarding year while raising funds to help both International and local causes.
In the last 12 months money has been raised for a variety of causes including The John O'Gaunt School Library, The Bruce Trust, The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Society, The Lifeboat Institute, Lambourn RDA and The Eradicate Polio initiative which has been spearheaded by Rotary International.
The new President is hoping that the club's charity giving will be centred on helping the young peoples organisations in the district.
Though they have a strong membership base of 30, Llyn said that the club is always looking for new members who would enjoy the Fellowship that the organisation provides at the same time as helping others.
