Chis Bartlam of Newbury Cancer Care Trust came along to a club meeting and gave an interesting insight to the work of the Trust which has been operating for 30 years and is linked to the West Berks.CommunityHospital. Their main focus is to alleviate suffering and distress to those suffering from cancer and also to assist the families. Recently they funded the refurbishment of 2 Rainbow Rooms at the hospital at a cost of £30.000 and have committed to do the remaining two.
