About us
Sandown Rotary club is now the second oldest club on the Island.
The club was formed following a meeting on March 11th 1926 at the Royal Pier Hotel, and was subsequently chartered on September 24th1926.
The club then had 25 members, and was a good cross section of the businessmen of the town.
Since those early days the club has met at a number of different hotels & venues in Sandown, and more recently we met in Shanklin for some time. However we are now back where we belong, meeting in Sandown at the Sands Hotel.
The club is of course now dual gender, and has had over recent years had 4 lady presidents.
Can I join and what is Rotary all about?
