Rod Hansen became Chief Constable of Gloucestershire in May 20017. This is a 'Family, Friends and Guests' meeting where we encourage members to bring a family member, a friend or a guest to hear the Chief Constable.

International : The Spectacles for Sri Lanka Project


This is an innovative project to provide spectacles for the people of Sri Lanka, particularly for the poor and the elderly. As at Dec 2017 40,000 have been sent.

About us

Rotary is an international organisation with 1.2 million members worldwide organised into 34,000 clubs. 

  • Its aim is to support communites, locally and internationally, and to advance the cause of peace and friendship around the world.

Stroud Rotary is a friendly club with a full calendar of meetings, events and activities. We are supporting local charities and organisations, for example through our Community Award Scheme, and international initiative such as the Spectacles for Sri Lanka project (click the 'FUTURE EVENTS' and 'COMPLETED' buttons below for a full list of future and past events).

We meet :

  • On the first Monday of the month at 'The Hill' starting at 7:30 p.m.
  • On the second Monday of the month at 'The Old Crown' starting at 12:30 p.m.
  • On the third Monday of the month at 'The Hill' starting at 7:30 p.m.
  • On the fourth Monday of the month we usuall organise a social event.

We meet on Mondays at 7pm for 7.30pm
(1st, and 3rd Mondays of the month at The Hill. No meeting Bank Holidays. 2nd Mondays are an informal lunch time meeting at a different venue. 4th Mondays are social events.)
