The Rotary Club of Broadlands, although observing the guidelines of Rotary International*, is an autonomous club. It meets every Thursday lunchtime at The Old Rectory Hotel, Crostwick (on the outskirts of Norwich) for fellowship (perhaps with a drink at the bar), followed by a meal and ending with a discussion or speaker.
The Club is 39 years old (in 2012) and has around 30 members. It carries out service to the local community and internationally with much endeavour and fun. We also enjoy our own fellowship, together with our partners, in many social activities.
Our members live in a spread of villages throughout the Norfolk Broads area including Blofield, Brundall, Burgh (Aylesham), Catfield, Hemblington, Horstead, Horning, Hoveton, Ludham, Mundesley, North Walsham, Ranworth, Salhouse, Surlingham and Wroxham.
* Rotary International was founded in 1905 by a Chicago lawyer, Paul Harris. From there it has grown to a world-wide organisation of business and professional people with over 1 million members.
Be part of a global network of volunteers, trying to make the world a better place. Please also see the 'links & news' page for information from the local district and live feeds from Rotary International and Rotary International in GB&I.
