Welcome to the Rotary Club of Bedford. Like all Rotarians we are volunteers who care about improving the quality of people's lives. We are a very active, moderately-sized club of around 60 members consisting of professional men and women who live in and around Bedford. Since being chartered in 1923 we have given our time and varied skills successfully to complete many projects in our locality, the UK and overseas. Each year we focus on supporting one or two local charities. Typically our biggest programme is aimed at helping young people whether through speaking competitions, young musician competitions, young chef competitions, encouraging young leaders of the future, sponsoring young people on outward-bound type courses or giving disadvantaged children the opportunity to experience activity-based days out.
On 6th May we are holding a two-mile sponsored walk over Bedford's many interesting foot bridges over the River Great Ouse. The walk is suitable for all ages and abilities to raise money for Canine Partners and other Rotary charities. If you wish to enter or sponsor the event please visit https://www.rotaryevents.org.uk
If you want to find out more about or club or Rotary, please explore this website or telephone the Honorary Secretary on 01234 290761.
