He will also be visiting the streets around the Northwich area on his sleigh weekday evenings throughout December.
Santa has finished planning his routes around Northwich with Rotary. The routes are as follows:
Recent Activities & Forthcoming Events
September proved to be a very busy month with the main event the annual Beer Festival organized by members of Northwich Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal that was held at the Memorial Court Northwich. This was the 23rd Beer Festival and it continues to be a successful fund-raiser for local charities.
RCNVR are now delighted to be charity partners with the Cheshire Downs Syndrome Society and are pleased to announce that the lead of the society Julie Duff is now an associate member of the club. Julie is currently our only lady member but we hope that this will act as encouragement to other ladies to consider joining the club.
BAC Mono in Liverpool is a motor vehicle constructor with a difference. Members of the club paid the factory a visit earlier this month to witness ‘state of the art technology’ being used to construct some of the fastest single seat road cars in the world. Needless to say none were purchased; the starting price of £150k too much for the average Rotarian.
The club was treated to an excellent presentation recently by Tony Bostock who came to the club and gave a very interesting talk on the origins of place names of towns and villages in Cheshire.
Rotarian Gordon Atkinson and his team of volunteers came together at Neumanns Flash last week to clear overgrown vegetation that was obstructing the views from some of the bird hides in the area.
Finally coming up on 14th October is the Club Charter Night being held at Vale Royal Abbey. Charter night is a celebration of the formation of the club that is now about to start its 27th year. The evening includes guest speaker for the evening, Mr David Mitchell, Town Crier of Chester and includes a three course meal at the price of £27. Guests are welcome and anyone who would like to join in the celebration should contact us via our contacts form.
