Senior Citizens' Christmas Lunches
By kind permission of Simon and Joan Essex our Senior Citizens Christmas lunches will be held again this year at the Ashbury Golf Hotel 11-13th Decemberdetails
The Rotary Club of Okehampton was founded in 1964. We are primarily a lunchtime club, meeting on the first, second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 12.30 p.m.m. start at The Fountain Inn hotel in the centre of Okehampton. There is a private car park at the rear and other public car parks close by. We enjoy a good two course lunch plus coffee for a very reasonable £10.00. Vegetarian and salad options are available - just ask. On the third Thursday of the month we meet at 5.30 p.m. for 6.00 p.m. start at the Fountain Inn hotel and enjoy a finger buffet for just £5.00.
President David Potter
In months when there are five Thursdays we hold an evening meeting on the fifth Thursday. Spouses, partners, friends and guests are welcome at these meetings when we enjoy a three course meal. Please check our programme for everything that's going on, including a note of those evening meeting dates and venues - please do feel free to browse and get in touch if you would like to know more.
On this site you will find details of our planned events and activities for the Rotary Year, a description of the work done by each of our busy committees and a great selection of pictures in the Club Photo Gallery
Visiting Rotarians are always most welcome - just turn up and tell the hotel that you need lunch. If you need to check any details, please just contact our secretary who will be delighted to assist - Richard Jennings (email@example.com) on 0845 576 0045
What is "ROTARY". The four objects of Rotary say it all:
- The development of friendship as an opportunity for service
- High ethical standards in our businesses and professions and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society
- Bringing the ideal of service into our personal, business and community lives
- The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional people united in the ideal of service.
AND WE LIKE TO HAVE SOME FUN!
