Rotary Club of Wickford Supports BCCS Children’s Counselling Services

Members of the Rotary Club of Wickford were pleased to welcome Daimian Dillon from Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society (BCCS) to a recent club meeting.

During the presentation, Rotarians learnt more about the important work the charity carries out to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people across Essex and East London, including the Wickford area.

BCCS provides professional counselling and therapeutic support to children who may be experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, family difficulties or other challenges affecting their wellbeing. Much of their work takes place directly in schools, where trained counsellors offer a safe and confidential environment for children to talk and receive the support they need.

The charity works with over 100 schools across the region, helping more than 1,000 children and their families each year. By focusing on early intervention, BCCS helps young people develop resilience and coping skills so they can overcome challenges and thrive both in school and at home.

Following the informative presentation, members of the Rotary Club of Wickford were delighted to present a £200 donation to help support the continued work of BCCS and the vital services it provides to children and families throughout our communities.
