Steve Tomlinson
On February 16th the speaker was Steve Tomlinson from the Andy’s Man Club.
Andy was Andrew Roberts, who sadly took his own life aged 23 in 2016 to the shock of his family and friends.
Steve stressed the need for this men-only club to enable them to talk in a non-judgemental environment, where, every Monday evening the same 3 questions are asked:
How was your week? What’s one positive for the week? Anything you want to get off your chest?
This is a listening service; they don’t advise but can point to support.
Steve shared his own story “because what we’ve been through helps us to help others”.
The Kendal group meets 7-9pm at The Shakespeare Centre every Monday except Bank Holidays.
