Community is at the heart of everything Rotary does, and our network of clubs across Great Britain and Ireland are making a difference everywhere...as well as in Llandudno. Rotary brings together people from all walks of life. Our members share their skills, experience and resources to give back to the community through a variety of intiatives.
Llandudno Rotary supports a wide variety of local initiatives through projects such as:
our Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest Programme, where we are working to save lives by ensuring the availability of working Community Public Access Defibrillators throughout the town, improving the capacity for bystander involvement to save lives by offering CPR and AED training
the creation of a new charity, the Friends of Llandudno Hospital to provide amenities and support for patients and staff which are not provided by the NHS, projects like the development of a bereavement garden and outdoor rest areas for the staff are ongoing.
its Community Chest small grant scheme which provides small grants upto £500 each June for local organisations
support for different charities like Parkinson's, Marie,Curie, St David's Hospice via collections or donations
We work with local schools on wellbeing and mental health projects. During the coming years we will be working to bring them competitions for writers, orators, photographers, chefs and leadership awards..
