Rotary Club of Guernsey Thanks Island Community for Generous Support of Christmas Food Parcels

The Rotary Club of Guernsey extends its heartfelt thanks to the entire Guernsey community following the success of its annual Rotary Flag Days held on 28 and 29 November.

Thanks to the generosity of islanders, an impressive £7,600 was raised towards the cost of providing 154 Rotary winter food parcels for families in need across Guernsey.

The Club also pays warm tribute to the 136 volunteers who gave their time to collect across the two days, and to the 17 shop owners and businesses who kindly hosted collection points. Their support enabled this long-running community effort to once again make a meaningful difference at a time of year when help is needed most.

Rotary Club of Guernsey President, Carla Bauer said:

“Guernsey has once again shown what a caring and compassionate community it is. These Rotary Christmas Food Parcels bring real relief and comfort to individuals and families who may otherwise struggle during the winter months. None of this would be possible without our volunteers, participating shops, and the remarkable generosity of the public. We are extremely grateful.”

The Rotary Christmas Food Parcel project is a longstanding Rotary Club initiative, working in partnership with local agencies to ensure that support reaches those who need it most.
