On Monday 1th September Harriette Verwey visit the the Tiny Forest near the Cardiff Bay Barrage.  This project represents a 10 year partnership between Cardiff Harbour Authority, Earthwatch Europe and Cardiff Bay Rotary.   Occupying a highly prominent location where over 1 million visitors walk past annually.  It demonstrates our commitment to improving the environment and raising the profile of Rotary.

Based on the Japanese “Miyawaki” concept of growing a small forest in a confined space (typically the size of a tennis court) over 10 years.  More than 600 saplings consisting of 25 different types of indigenous trees were planted in this former industrial dockland site in 2021.
