JAMES HERRIOT COUNTRY TRAIL RUN 2025 RESULTS

Quite cool conditions, ideal for running, apart from a headwind on the outgoing moor section.


For those who want to check the results a soon as possible, click on Results and or Individual and Team

First man home was Jack Kelly from Harrogate in 52mi 57sec, followed by Mathew Cardus from Settle in 54mi 12sec and Ted Mason from Skipton, and Wharfedale Harriers.

First woman home was Helen Burrell from Leyburn and Swaledale Runners in 71 min 13 sec.(Helen was also 1st in Veteran +60!) Second woman was Donna Edmondson Booker of Bradford, and Bingley Harriers in 72m 14sec,(Donna was also 1st Veteran!) and third was Nicola Simpson (a VS) from Leyburn, and Richmond and Zetland Harriers in 74m 43s

NB Error in Team results- The Mixed team of 2 men and i woman was actually won by RZH in197.41min.

Many thanks to everyone who volunteered to help make this a success, in particular, Swaledale Road Runners. We have made over £3,000 for local charities and worthy causes.

Thanks also to Tom Orde-Powlett, Richard Spensley & Son, and Stewart Raw for use of their land. Also, Alec Rycroft, of Leyburn Walking Shop, who again donated the prizes.

220 runners registered and 186 started. Fewer than last year, particularlyLadies. I just wonder whether the Euro football final had some influence!
