President Hand Over

Martin French & Tim Keegan

The speakers on 7th July. the Presidents handover day, were the incoming President, Martin French, and the outgoing one, Tim Keegan.

Tim highlighted his year’s achievements : The Afternoon Tea with the students at Queen Katherine School, the Brass and Choir Concert, raising money for the Mayor's charity, the Wheel Chair charity of Rosebank Rotary in South Africa, the monthly winter Farmer's Market soup stall in Kendal Town Square, our Centenary Charter and the recent Midsummer Fair all helped raise our profile in Kendal and raise money and awareness for the many Charities who attended. Finally he thanked us all for our support in this which was our Centenary Year.

Martin outlined his thoughts for how to take the club forward, engaging with the Business Community through Corporate membership and engaging with the Community at large through projects that say "people like us do things like this" as a means of exciting their interest so that even if they cannot become members because of personal commitments,  they want to be involved as helpers in what we do.
