The Rotary Club of West Fife has continued its commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the local community by delivering boxes filled with essential items to the Salvation Army in Dunfermline.
The carefully assembled boxes contain a comprehensive range of personal and household essentials designed to meet the basic needs of both men and women experiencing hardship. Each box includes vital items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shower gel, and shampoo to help maintain personal hygiene and dignity. Beyond personal care items, the boxes also provide practical household necessities including washing detergent, dishcloths, scourers, and sellotape. Additional contents include plasters for basic first aid, razors, nail brushes, soap, pencils, exercise books, and socks – all items that can make a significant difference to someone's daily life and wellbeing.
The donation was personally delivered to the Salvation Army facility in Wellwood by Mark Todd, President of Rotary West Fife, where the boxes were gratefully received by Diane Johnson on behalf of the Salvation Army.
This initiative builds on the success of previous deliveries, with the Salvation Army confirming that earlier box donations have proven extremely helpful in supporting people in need throughout the local area. The partnership between Rotary West Fife and the Salvation Army demonstrates the power of community organisations working together to address practical needs and provide dignity to those facing difficult circumstances.
The Rotary boxes represent more than just essential items - they offer hope and demonstrate that the community cares about the welfare of its most vulnerable members. Through initiatives like this, the Rotary Club of West Fife continues to live up to its motto of "Service Above Self," making a tangible difference in the lives of local people who need support most.
