This year's Tour de Furness was another successful day with the new slightly more challenging 71 mile route going down well with riders.
Although participants could raise money for their own favourite charity most of the proceeds will go to St. Mary's Hospice at Ulverston

Scores of cyclists saddled up and got busy pedalling, as they took part in the Tour de Furness.
The 30th Vattenfall event, organised by the Rotary Club of Furness, took place on Sunday June 8.
Starting from Roose Conservative Club in Barrow, riders tackled one of four routes, choosing to complete either 13 miles, 25 miles, 50 miles, or 71 miles.
The 71 mile route was newly introduced this year, and took cyclists up to Torver, to Broughton Mills, over Wrynose Pass and back into Coniston to join the 50 mile route back to Barrow.
Despite one rider suffering a broken chain and another enduring two punctures, the new route was a success.
The quickest rider to finish the 71 mile route was Ryan Shaw, who took 4 hours and 7 minutes.
The riders generally managed to complete their courses without getting too wet.
More than 36 people took part in the 30 mile ride.
This year was also the first time there was timing on all the routes so cyclists had a record of their ride.
The Furness Amateur Radio Society provided communications throughout all of the rides and the Furness First Aiders were on hand to help.
Upon returning to Roose Conservative Club, riders were given a certificate, a medal and a commemorative mug to celebrate the 30th annual ride.
The community event saw volunteers from the Women’s Institute, the Air Cadets, Askam Rugby Club, Ulverston Scouts, St Perrans Scouts, Barrow Rotary Club, Ulverston Rotary Club and friends of Rotary providing support in marshalling and catering.
A member of the Rotary Club of Furness said: “The atmosphere at the Conservative Club was brilliant, with everybody enjoying having raised money for their favourite charity or for St Marys Hospice, and it is estimated that £25,000 has been raised by all of the riders.”
