Mayor of Truro's Charity Golf Day

A major event in the county's golfing programme and a fundraiser for the Mayor's and other major charities, having generated more than £100,000 over more than 25 years.


Mayor of Truro's Charity Golf Day organised by the Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen at Truro Golf Club

in aid of the Truro Foodbank and Cornwall Hospice Care

This event has been running for over twenty five years and, after a brief pause, is back again this year. It is a Stableford competition for teams of four (men, ladies, or mixed) with two scores to count (85% course handicap, limits 28 for men and 36 for ladies).

What you get for your entry fee (£37.50 for Truro GC members; £45 otherwise)

  • a carvery meal
  • prizes for the top five teams
  • separate prizes for the winning Ladies, Seniors, and Visitors
  • nearest the pin prizes on all ten par three holes
  • prizes for the longest drives (men and ladies)
  • participation in a valuable putting competition and clubhouse tombola
