RC Bridgend celebrates 100 years since they were granted their charter by Rotary International

2025 - 2026 is a very special year for Rotary Bridgend. On 15th December 1925 we were awarded our Charter from Rotary International, receiving this on 15th March 1926.

We will be celebrating our centenary with a Centenary Celebration Dinner at the Bridgend Masonic Hall on Friday 13th March 2026, almost 100 years to the day since we we received our Charter.

In our centenary year we have three very special centenary projects:

Heronsbridge School
A special needs school with around 270 pupils which is both a primary and secondary special school, catering for a wide range of additional learning needs.Rotary Bridgend have provided funding to enable the grow garden and storage selling produce to family and teachers.

Y Bwthyn Newydd
A specialist palliative care unit at the Princess of Wales Hospital looks after people with life limiting conditions. Rotary Bridgend have donated equipment to improve the garden area used by patients, their loved ones and staff

Y Bont
A specialist child and family centre which provides a unique range of day services for children with disabilities and complex medical conditions. Rotary Bridgend have provided funding to enable a refresh of the family support room and purchase of much needed specialist equipment.
