Rotary Club of Bexhill Donates £500 to Pett Level Independent Life Boat.

The men and women of Pett Level Independent Life Boat are trying to raise over one hundred thousand pounds to replace their existing inshore life boat with an upgraded vessel. The new boat will have more powerful engine and a rigid hull to enable it to be launched in most weather conditions. To achieve this target the crew and supporters have taken singing sea shanties for charitable donations. The Bouys very kindly stepped in at the last minute to provide a singing debut at the White Rock Theatre as a part of Bexhill Rotary Club's School Choir Competition. They were a roaring success despite never having sung on a stage before.

In order to recognise their continuing good work, protecting the swimmers and sailors of Rye Bay and to say thank you for their performance at the competition, Bexhill Rotary Club have donated £500 to their charity.
