Bard of the Yukon

Prestwick Rotarians were treated to a talk and poetry recital about the "Bard of the Yukon" - Robert W Service.

The guest speaker was John Howard, secretary of Kilmarnock Rotary Club who described the Yukon gold rush of 1890 as "the Wild West with Snow." John outlined the career of the author and poet, and gave an excellent recital of two of his peoms.

A great, entertaining evening appreciated by all with an appropriate vote of thatnks from Andrew Mathieson shown seated on the left with John Howard.
