The speaker on 2nd September was one of our own members, Alan Price, who gave us some reminiscences of his life and career. Starting with his time at Liverpool University in 1958 and his subsequent experiences throughout his time at various Semiconductor businesses around the UK and abroad until 1986. From 1986, until he finally retired in 2004, the last 20 years of his working life were spent in Cumbria, first in Barbon and then from 1991 in Kendal, working in an eclectic range of businesses. He initially joined Kendal Rotary Club in 1995, when due to his working in Ulverston, he transferred to the Kendal South Westmorland Club from where, on ihe closure of that club in 2022, he rejoined Kendal Rotary Club.
